First session with the Sandwich Islands Network Radio Krew |
First, I knew I had them when I showed off my driving skills -- that is when I backed up into the steep driveway at the studio. My mad skills won them over! Haha. In retrospect, I should have taken a picture as proof that I came within inches of the wall on the passenger side, with room to spare on the driver's side.

Ringleader Uncle Kamaka Brown (L) and Uncle Daniel Lagronio (R) |
The SIN Krew were all so welcoming! It wasn't hard to feel included. Uncle Kamaka Brown, the Hawaiian Godfather of Radio (well, if he isn't already called that, I just dubbed him a new title) is the mastermind behind SIN. Uncle Daniel "Dan" Lagronio, or as Uncle Kamaka calls him, "The Silver Fox," was the quiet storm in the corner who spoke softly, but carried a big stick. A journalist who writes for the www.examiner.com, brings to the SIN Krew "commentary of the Polynesia community in Southern California and beyond" (Source: www.v93fm.com)
